Hopefully today is cakes and kugels. Let’s see how that goes. Next will be brisket and chicken-tomorrow after work. Each night a little something. I have challahs already in the freezer. Admittedly I’m not having lots of guests so it’s not as overwhelming as other years.

I'm trying for 2 roasts, 2 pkg noodles and sauteed onions and sauteed cabbage.

I'd like to start with extras this time, like cookies and muffins. Apple pie. An extra vegetable soup. Doughless knishes. Etc.

What are you doing with the sautéed cabbage?

It will be tossed with the noodles before serving.

Oh. I usually make the noodles ahead and freeze too. I’m thinking (still thinking!) of making honey cakes, strawberry rhubarb pie and pomegranate ice cream today.

I hope I do!

The noodles are being frozen too. Just separately.

Today no baking. I have a roast in my crockpot. I've done a lot of shopping. I have chicken cutlets - dark and light - in the freezer and later today I will quickly slice them, freeze them in a single layer overnight, and then put in a bag to take out as needed.
