In the egg roll skin, it's not as gresy as in puff pastry dough. It gets a little crispy.
I mix 1/4 cup duck suace
1/4 cup mayo
1/4 cup ketchup
2 T. mustard
a few shakes of black pepper
I spread this on each egg roll wrapper, then layer it with deli meat of your choice. Roll it up. Place seam side down on a greased cookie sheet. Brush with more of the sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes. You want it to get a little crunchy, not to crisp.
Enjoy hot or cold!

sarahliz, that all sounds delicious but if you don't mind can I ask why so much food? You are serving three main dishes it sounds like a hotel!!! Don't get me wrong I want to come for a meal but why do you have to work so hard?

I don't post very often here Chocolate Moose but please don't go as I actually think you have some great ideas. Keep them coming please.
I am so bored with making the same food for Shabbat but I just don't have time to experiment any more or even dig out some of the old favorites. I do enjoy reading about what everyone else makes!
Shabbat Shalom everyone

it's not that hard to cook up a nice traditional thanksgiving dinner ... hey if im not with family back home ... I make what I call my "thanksgiving shabbos" ...
have a little wine with dinner
turkey spiced and roasted in oven
sweet potatoes - peeled sliced and baked with some brown sugar till soft and "candied"
greenbeans almondine - frozen french but stringbeans with some sliced almonds heated up with a drop of olive oil & salt
smashed potatoes - boil potatoes with salt ... sautee lots of onions and garlic in olive oil and smash potatoes with same (chunky not mushy)
mushrooms also sauteed in olive oil with onions and garlic ...
bread stuffing ... chunked up water challah or french bread toasted in oven with some evoo with spices - in pan sautee finely chopped celery onions & spices ... mix with the toasted bread - add a little gravy from turkey
cranberry relish - bag of cranberries in saucepot - add little fresh lime juice, brown sugar, mandarine orange pieces, mango, ginger, fresh garlic ... hmmm - cook till cranberries burst and jelly like
have a little wine with dinner
dessert ... pumpkin pie (look at can of libby's solid pumpkin - not pie mix - and substitute condensed milk with less amount of richs pareve milk)
apple pie ... chocolate moose
and some nice flavored teas
(hint - I use the same pan with all the sauteed onion type things ... when finished food goes into aluminum disposeable to keep out of the way while cooking the rest - then later easily warmed up by throwing in oven 30 min before dinner)
then sleep it off all weekend or enjoy visiting family in between naps ...
