Amother scarlet, who says it needs to be qualified as "baking" to be good and tasty??? The simple things taste way better than gourmet fancy stuff.
I won't begin to tell you my many easy cooking/baking shortcuts that end up in delicious dishes!
Watergirl, I do all of the above you mentioned with chicken. The family doesn't care how much work went into the food prep, all they care about is delicious nutritious food.

Hey! Who told you my secret recipe? Lol. If I'm in a crazy fancy mood, I may even go nuts and slice an onion to add to the dish first.
One of my step kids was over recently when I made my famous chicken. He said something like "your chicken is always the best, how do you make it so good?" So I let him in on my "secret" and he was in awe. His mother make fancy shmancy everything and would never imagine our little trick. Whats good for her is good for her... I thought it was funny that this particular child (who is not a child anymore!) has preferred my chicken over the years.

Dump cake sounds like a great quick dessert for my kids - it has their favorite elements. Thanks for posting watergirl! I'm going to have dd try it.
