This was a few years ago. Found a couple hundred dollars in a suitcase pocket we thought was lost or stolen on a trip to EY. Interesting part is that the bag has been checked in multiple times with the money stashed in there till finally found on an erev pesach! Was so glad I cleaned it and not the cleaning lady (or TSA). These finds are giving me renewed hope...

Some time ago, I lost my engagement ring in the kitchen. I took the ring off when making challah dough. After I finished, it just vanished. Disappeared. Gone. I've looked everywhere, davened, tried all the segulos. Nothing... If only I would find it back during Pesach cleaning, that would be so great!

So far, I haven't found anything exciting.

I don't know what it is with kids and food. They stash it like a squirrel about to face a hard winter! Can't Believe It

I found an old tzedakah box of mine with 300 ש"ח in it - they were still the "old" type 100 shekel bills, must have been at the back of the cupboard for several years. Passed on the money to a local tzedakah fund right away.

I found 1/2 of an onion ring in my son’s drawer

A bottle brush ... not sure why I have one- my youngest is almost 7!

A popped stress ball in the playroom closet.... white flour everywhere... (is it really flour? Anyone know?)

Many small pieces of toys like play mobile.....

Certain things that are missing I was really hoping to find when we pesach clean but those items haven’t shown up yet...

I also found about 100 pages of recipes ripped out of magazines that was under my 16 yr old son's mattress . He went through a phase of loving to cook and bake and I guess these recipes were the "secret recipes".

I found a gift certificate to a seforim store that one of my oldest son's rebbeim gave him years ago as a "good bye" present and he never redeemed it.

I found two brand new pairs of spring/summer shoes still in their boxes in my closet that I bought last year and I forgot all about them. It's perfect because I have trouble finding shoes in my size. I didn't wear them last year because I was pregnant and needed just wanted to be super comfy. Now I have something new for Pesach!

I found a flashlight , brand new with the tags on it , that was in my coat closet which meant it was supposed to be returned to the store and it never happened. It must be sitting there for years (I didn't clean for Pesach the last few years , we went away and sold our house) . So I just put it with our flashlights which always comes in handy in our neighborhood where street lights don't exist on every block.

Not Pesach cleaning per se but moving furniture for another purpose found a brand new article of clothing still in its wrapper. How did it get under a piece of furniture that goes almost up to the ceiling and all the way down to the floor with a toe board and isn’t on legs? A piece of paper or a coin could slip under the toeboard, but nothing thicker than that.

Found dd's soft hair band in my fall jacket pocket. She was really excited.
In her gym backpack I found the silver foil wrapper of a lunch sandwich from 2 weeks ago.

Hugs, Mayflower. I'm not here to offer hope but to tell everyone about some yellow capped Coke, as in from last year, and last year's apple juice.

When I was in seminary a girl was helping and cleaning a teachers house. She found her wedding ring that was missing for years while cleaning the kitchen. I think it was in the grout behind the kitchen counter (in Israel).

Mayflower , my DH found my diamond ring that went missing . He found it six months after I lost it. It was underneath my bedroom dresser. He had to move the dresser for some reason and that's when he discovered it. Not all hope is lost.

The stress ball is probably corn starch if homemade

I found a whole lot of sugar packets in DS's drawer. Probably brought them home from the shul's coffee room. Now I know why he's been so hyper lately. Who knows how many of them he ate at a time? Yes, there were empty packets there as well. He eats it like candy.

Y'all are reminding me that I was waiting for this time of year to move my dresser and find the earring (not real gold but pretty) that I know I dropped behind it one Shabbos. It's time!

Tzutzie if you didn't find anything you were looking for while pesach cleaning, then you must be very organized

I am an organized person. But I think it has much more to do with the fact that I just don't have that much "stuff".
There is not much space to "hide" things.
(Well, my 4 yo loves stuffing things into her Pillow case. Now after purim I found a few 'graggers'..... LOL. But that I empty regularly.)
Other than the garage, extra room, home attic, garbage attic and two sheds.....
Since we moved this is the biggest thing we argue about. He says attic, I say trash....

I think we have more storage space than actual living space!!!

Ladies, take my advice, don't buy sheds (the house came with two! Can't Believe It ) rather downsize.

One time I found a melon under the seat in my car! It didn't have any odor and wasn't decomposed, but it must have been there for at least 6 months.

Posting anon to not out my screen name, since my friends know this story.
