Tonight is airfryer night. Chicken on the bone dipped in some bbq and airfryed-yum! Hoping to also make zucchini chips-will see how much time I have. Side will be farfel, orzo, potatoes whatever I have time for.
Does airfried taste like fried? Or is it rather like air-popped popcorn vs oil popped?
I wouldn't say it tastes like fried, but it gets a very good, crispy taste. Chicken on the bone tastes more like its grilled but takes half the amount of time and doesn't smell up my whole house:)
Do you have a recommendation for a good air fryer?
Don’t have one yet but would love to get a good one! Do you make the zucchini chips in the air fryer too?
I personally wouldn't mind leaving soup at a simmer on the stove when I leave the house - I often do. As long as the window is open a crack, I don't see any problems with it. Obviously, I wouldn't leave it on a high boil, but if it's steadily simmering away for four hours, I wouldn't think twice about leaving it.
I think we all have different ideas about what sounds complicated and what seems simple. My mother worked full time and she would leave a soup simmering on the stove all day, so I guess I grew up with that being normal.

Every single soup recipe I have needs sautéing first.
Would love soemthing like this.
