Being that the Beis Din doesn't allow the use of strawberries, Shayna, what kind are you going to use?

we go by our rav here, and I havent heard any outstanding ruling over strawberrys and no one I know here has stopped using it.

do you know about the people in israel who are selling bug free schach? I think its a little going over the board. the chances that a bug will fall into your soup and then you eat it... I mean how far are we gonna take this?

Bought reg. challos
Wine leftover from Tishrei

Boiled gef fish, haven’t checked the chol level on that yet
Corn salad
Matbuch, recipe from this site

Frozen soup from Tishrei

Baked chicken, not sure what kind yet
Sesame noodle salad - if I can find low fat peanut butter
Cranberry sauce from freezer

Nonfat oatmeal cookies with raisins

A few questions...

Are you using whole wheat challah and whole wheat noodles?

How are the cookies non-fat?

Oh, thank you, I’ll make yours instead..I don't have rice vinegar or sesame oil, tnough.

I was gonna buy regular challah...guess I should buy water; we hate water challah, though...

the cookies are frm a website that has such recipes; it's only applesacue, egg whites, oatmeal.....

CM, remember that things are fine in moderation. After I found out that my cholesterol was high, I watched what I ate, and cut out obvious high triggers such as lots of mayo, red meat, french fries, lots of oil, etc. However, stuff like egg challah isn't going to hurt things - especially since it's only being eaten once a week.

CM, I get the Smart Balance Omega-3 Natural Peanut Butter. It has 0 Cholesterol. Smile The Shuk and Kol Tuv have it, I haven't looked for it anywhere else.

sounds very eclectic and yummy, cm

question about the challah: the garlic and herbs are in the dough or as a topping before you put the loaves in the oven?

Here's the rough plan:

Challah
Gefilte fish
Marinated Tomato Salad
Green salad
Chicken soup with lokshen
Chicken and rice
Eggs and onion
Cold Roast Beef for the day (I have so much leftover roast in the freezer from yuntiff!)
Chocolate Cake

Here's my plan for this week:

Cream of tomato soup
Tofu and vegetables in a cilantro-peanut sauce
rice with coconut milk and scallions
roast squash
chocolate mousse cake

I know it's different, but that's how we eat.
