If you want a woman, I was quite happy with Dr. Penny Turtel in the Deal area (they're on Rte 35 off Deal Rd, less than 1/2 an hour from Lakewood).

However, after a few visits I could only see the PA. And, when I had my second colonoscopy, there was a male nurse anesthetist, which I was very displeased about. Although one could possibly ask ahead of time.
