I bought chicken yesterday and I started to clean to cook 4 shabbos. It had an awful smell. I started cooking and still smells while cooking. Should I dump it or continue cooking.

not worth the consequences if it's bad.

lol - I once used that excuse for my brownies that I thought tasted funny. DDDDDDDDDDH said, "What do you mean? They are delicious!" Finally I asked my friend to taste them. She was a little more honest! I asked her later how they were (I wasn't with her when she tasted it) and she said, "Well, to be honest - I had to spit it out!" We agreed they tasted like fabric softener! I think when the supermarket delivered my groceries, something must have spilled on one of the brownie ingredients. Anyway, if something smells bad to a pregnant woman, it might just be pregnancy - but it might actually be bad!!!

Do not risk your health and that of your family and guests. Food poisoning is no joke and no fun, and can be fatal for the very young, very old and immunocompromised. Dump it NOW.

Yep. That's how the manager at my supermarket knows I am preggers before I even know it. When I return perfectly good chicken because it "stinks".

But you should probable toss it. Don't want to ruin Shabbos with a touch of food poisoning.
