My 2 year old has started taking a real interest in money! Her word for coins is literally "tzedakah" because we put the coins in the tzedakah box before Shabbat and this is the only time I let her handle the coins. My husband decided to introduce her to bills, and gave her a whole lesson about the dollar. Wanting to show off to me, my husband said to my daughter "Tell mommy whose picture is on the dollar bill", without missing a beat, she stared at the picture on the bill and blurted out gleefully "Curious George!"

We all had a good laugh.

Alot of kids when learning aleph-bais finish it off with a yiddish rhyme "tuf in suf, leig dich arup in shluf". My 3 yr. old always sings, " tuf in suf, mein teacher lozt nisht zugen leig dich arup in shluf".

My mother was walking with my 4 yr old sister one shabbos and as they passed the parked cars my mother would point at each car and say the color of each car, "this car is blue, this car is green, this car is red" when she got to a tan car she said "this car is tan" so when they got to the next car my sister asked "is this car eleven?"

Babooshka (Bobby) comes every Sunday to watch DD (2 years) for the day, while I'm at work.
So when Baba walks in the door, DD runs to her, gives her a hug and says, 'Baba go Park. Yeah." nods her head, gets down, runs and gets her shoes, and says "shoes, bye go park!" and grabs Babookshka's hand and pulls her to the door. Every week!!!
Even on the phone she says 'Hi go Park yeah!"

My 2 year old suddenly changed all his "c" and "k" sounds to "ch" recently.
Not a big deal, I can understand him when he wants to "cholor" or eat "chorn," if he sees a "char." The absolute limit was when he asked for "Chetshup!"

So I was discussing Moshiach with my almost 4 year old. It was time to go to bed and we were having our nightly talk. He said "Moshiach is coming to build the Beis Hamikdash... No, he is coming soon, not yet."
"Why not yet?" I asked
"Because his Mommy wants him to go to sleep now." LOL

This just in this morning..

Let's just say it's been a tough break from gan...yesterday, we had a rough day...the boys got into a fight etc...

Anyway, this morning, I said to Schneur "Okay...let's review the rules. In our home there will be no shouting. In our home there will be no hitting. In our home we won't say bad words"

Schneur burst in, "So we'll do it outside?"

Okay, so my youngest just happens to be named Yosef (Yosef Yitzchok)

Today I took Schneur with me to pick Yosef up from the babysitter. When I gave the babysitter the money, Schneur said, "Oh, so you sold Yosef and now you're buying him back!"

The funny thing is, the oldest doesn't even know the story yet about Yosef in Mitzraim...

My 2 year old is completely confused. Surprised Ever since he started making a bracha on his new tzitizis he can't figure out why he should kiss them! Everything else he makes a bracha on he eats. I keep catching him kissing his breakfast or snack after he says the bracha on it.

My Schneur also got confused at that age, but it was concerning the lulav. After a week of bentsching the lulav and shaking it in all the directions, he got confused Isru Chag lunch and started 'bentsching the Lulav" with his Peanut butter and jelly sandwich LOL

My 15 month old has a new habit...spitting milk from his breakfast cereal onto the table to see what kind of puddles he can make.

I caught Yosef and his older brother Schneor doing this a week ago. Now Yosef is doing it all the time.

This morning, Schneor said "Look, he's spitting! Assur!"

"And where did he learn to do that?" I asked..

"From the babysitter!" Schneor said.
