a cute story...
my sister in law had just moved to california and wasnt sure of all the different driving laws, (coming from N.Y.) so she made a U-turn adn got pulled over by the police. she had her 4 yr old son in the car along with her 2 yr old and the the 4 yr got very excited by the sight of a "real" police officer. my sis in law tried to argue her way out of a ticket and said that she was never pulled over b4...
my nephew said "mommy, yes you did! remember when we were still living in NY.!"
my sis in law felt like the biggest liar, and tried to explian to her son that she once asked a police for directions, and not for being pulled over."
she somehow convinced the officer that this was true adn all he could do was tell her to go as he couldnt control his laughter!!!
kids just dont know when not to talk!!!!

Was it a lie, or had she really just asked the cop for directions?

funny cop story happened to one of my friends. She was driving with her sister. Her sister was holding a sheital on a head with her in the front seat. They got pulled over because the cop thought thier was a third person in the front seat. When the cop saw the sheital he was sooo emabarssed he just excused himself and went back to his car... they couldnt stop laughing

A police car stopped so that I could cross the street with my son. My son turned to the cop and asked, "Are you going to give us a ticket now?" The cop for sure thought that I am always being stopped for tickets. He looked at me strangely, but then he told my son "No, I'm your friend, I won't give you a ticket".
Now my son is very proud of the fact that he has a policeman for a friend.

Stay calm while being pulled over for speeding.
The police will come up to your window holding a pad of paper and pen. Calmly turn to face him while keeping a straight face and request-
"burger, fries and coke please"
If the cops got a sense of humor, you'll be off the hook!
(tried and true)

When I was younger, there was a situation that the cops needed to come. So I called the cops and for shmira. Shmira came much faster than the cops. When the cops arrived 2 hours later, my brother went over to the cops and said I know why you are late you stopped off to get some donuts and coffee. The cops were so mad at him. If he was older they could have locked him up.

but you never know he might just give you a ticket that would have been higher just because of what you said I won't risk it.

Depends how it is done!
there is a BIG difference b/w flirting and just having 'chain' - charm.

Depends on the situation but often times if you are just respectful and keep a few things in mind you wont get a ticket and if you do at least you will have had a semi positive interaction with the officers.
What most people don’t realize is that a traffic stop is one of the most dangerous things an officer has to do. When approaching a car an officer has no idea who is in there and what they are up to. He or she could have just pulled someone over for a stop sign violation but if the person has a felony arrest warrant he might try to shoot the officer to get away. Keeping this in mind if you get pulled over try these few things:
1) pull ALL THE WAY OVER! An officer has to walk from his car to yours and dosent want to get hit by a passing car.
2) If it is nighttime reach up and turn on your dome light. This allows the officer a better view of what is going on in the car.
3) Keep your hands on the steering wheal and don’t start looking around. This keeps the officer from becoming frightened that you are reaching for a gun or trying to see where he or she is so you can get a good shot. Once they ask you for your license and reg etc. tell them, “my license is in my wallet which is under my seat” or wherever you are going to be reaching.
4) Be polite remember he or she deals with tons of crabby people everyday. He or she may have just come from a call where a little child was very hurt. Officers deal with things daily that most people never have to face, keep that in mind when dealing with them. A smile can go a long way!!
and the number one way to not get a ticket... dont break the law :-D
Hope this helps
