I think you can add chips to any green salad, like croutons.
Personally I don't bring chips home because I'm addicted and will eat the whole thing.
Just add them absolutely last minute.

This gets gobbled up. The combination of flavors is irresistible and appeals to timid palates as well as more adventurous. I have paired with a sweet potato salad with hoisin dressing when I've done hoisin marinated chicken.
I will save time by using bagged shredded cabbage. I've tried the shredded carrots but this are too shard in texture so I will shred the carrots. Napa cabbage is pretty easy to shred if yu have a food processor but the coleslaw is good if you just want to dump pre shredded veggies with the dressing.
I make more dressing but not so much that it is sopping wet. I sub srichcha sauce for the chile garlic but anything that just adds a wisp of spice would work.
The trick to using jalapeños is to remove the seeds and white ribs inside. These parts are where the heat is stored and when you remove, you get a nice taste without heat.
Yuu can sub currants for raisins but when I used raisins I rough chop so pieces are smaller.
The honey roasted peanuts are absolutely necessary.
This lasts well and it's nice just to have as a healthy nosh.
Fusion Coleslaw
Excerpted from Food to Live By by Myra Goodman with Linda Holland and Pamela McKinstry."
INGREDIENTS
2 cups shredded red cabbage ( 1/4-inch shreds)
1 cup shredded napa cabbage ( 1/4-inch shreds)
2 large carrots, coarsely grated
1/3 cup thin strips scallion top ( from about 6 scallions)
1 jalapeno pepper, cut into slivers
3 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
3 tablespoons unseasoned rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon asian chili-garlic sauce ( to taste)
1 tablespoon finely grated peeled fresh ginger
salt (optional)
1/2 cup honey-roasted peanuts
1/2 cup raisins
2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
DIRECTIONS
Place the red cabbage, Napa cabbage, carrots, scallion greens, and jalapeno in a large bowl. Stir to combine.
Place the sesame oil, vinegar, sygar, chile sauce, and ginger in a glass jar and seal the lid tightly. Shake the jar vigorously to combine. Taste for seasoning, adding salt and/or more chile garlic sauce as needed.
Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine. Add the peanuts and raisins and toss again. Refrigerate the coleslaw, covered, to allow the flavors to develop, 2 to 4 hours. Serve the coleslaw chilled, garnished with the sesame seeds.
