anyone know the source for why chassidim wear tallis katan to bed?

my hubby said, the reaon is that when you wake up, you already have a mitva, with tzitzis there are two mitzvas- one to wear them and two to say the bracha... he says he will look up the source for you,,or ask his dad for it

do ppl let children sleep in them? when my brothers were growing up it was considered unsafe (a strangulation hazard)

as far as I know, of course kids sleep in them. thats why they have a pair for nighttime and a pair for daytime. (at least)

It took a loong time, but I just bumped into the source today 
We find in the Shulchan Aruch, "One may sleep while wearing tzitzis. Some say that one should not sleep while wearing tzitzis ... but the custom is to be lenient."
The Arizal (in Sefer Kavanos) proves that Dovid Ha'Melech used to sleep while wearing tzitzis and therefore confirms that it is permitted. He explains in detail the spiritual gains and protection from impurities that one could gain from wearing tzitzis while sleeping.

I thought they had to wear the same tzisis. are they supposed to have one pair for daytime and one for nighttime?
