I have some raw tilapia in my freezer that I need to use up while it's still good.
Does anyone have an easy way to make it, using minimal ingredients, that comes out delicious?

I defrost in the package in warm water, then do either

coat in mayo and dredge in breadcrumbs with spices

or do a mixture of olive oil, crushed garlic, and spices (paprika, basil, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes...dont rem what else) and add some squeezed lemon after.

Cook 20 mins uncovered.

We usually add some lemon juice/fresh lemon when eating it

I used to soak them in lemon juice before preparing to get out the fishy smell but tilapia (at least here) is usually pretty mild

fastest recipe, very delicuous, popular with adults and kids in my house:
rinse fillets
place in oven dish
sprinkle with salt and paprika
rub on a drop of oil

broil for 6 minutes on high
really yummy and so simple, I make it every week on a day that I am short on time!

ra_mom's pan-seared tilapia is my family's new favorite, and so easy! I think it's in the cookbook.

Spray a banking dish or foil pan with cooking spray. Place fish in pan and cover tightly with foil. Steam at 300f till cooked.

Meanwhile have finely chopped green onions and grated ginger standing by. Pour sesame or regular oil into a pan and heat until hot but not smoking. Arrange fish on heat proof platter with scallions and ginger all around the top. Drizzle with soy sauce. Pour hot oil all Over the platter. If it isn't shabbat it's impressive at the table. If it is it will still tAste great even eating it Cold.
