I was one referred to a gastroenterologist named Dr. Kwak. I couldn't believe someone actually had that name, so I called the insurance company to confirm. Indeed. She must have gotten a lot of ribbing. I actually decided not to see her because I just couldn't picture me going into her office with a straight face.

TUNA? shock No way! She must really hate her parents.

I knew a girl who was determined to hyphenate her last name if she ever got married. Her last name is Frye. She turned down a date from a boy who's last name was French. She just couldn't see going through life as a French-Frye, no matter how nice the boy was!

most of the names may be unfortunate, but all sounding jewish. how would you feel if you posted a name and it was an actual imamother or her relative? I bet they would feel made fun of.

Thank you for the good laugh. I haven't laughed so much at one thread in a long time!

I used to have Teimani neighbors with the last name Noach. They also had a son named Noach.
So, his name is Noach Noach. Go figure.

Last week I went with a family member to see a neurologist at Hadassah named Professor Zohar Argov. This is also the name of a famous Israeli singer who was a druggie and committed suicide. It' just weird because it's such an uncommon name!

I'd say the name Cinnamon was pretty unfortunate in itself!

I knew of a girl in my previous community called Brochali. I always thought that was pretty ill thought out for an English speaking family in an English speaking country.
