I went to a engagment party for my cousin.
for the party a women unwrapped the wrappers to the miniture hershey
cholcolates and rewrapped them with Scenes of the engaged couple.

Once scene showed him with a huge diamond ring (fake) giving it to
his fiancee.

The women printed the pictures on her computer .
My kids did this for a charity event , by printing the name of the charity
in their colors online. it was a big hit,

How did the people at the party know they were eating Milchig chocolate (I'm pretty sure all Hershey's miniatures are Milchig)?

Normally, parties are in the evening when many have eaten Fleishig.

I would never to a party or seuda under the assumption that the food would be fleishigs. Especially if the event is an engagement party, which usually consists of dessert spreads.

You can't assume either way. Best way to do it is to put up a nice sign with words- Fleishig, Milchig, or Pareve, in each area, and not to serve both Milchig and Fleishig at same party, bec. of serving pieces getting mixed up.

There's also the other issue of the Hechsher being unknown if the wrapper is removed.

Hey - my daughter's school just did something similar for a chanuka party - they gave everyone chocolates wrapped in a gold wrapper as if they each won the "willy wonka" prize w/invitation of when and where school party will be. I thought it was cute.

Yeah why be a party pooper - this is in dessert not controversial.

There's controversy in all sections.

Look at the debate between take the skin off/ leave the skin on the chicken, in the chicken soup discussion!

Wherever there's two Jews, a philosophical, Talmudic, Gemaraic discussion ensues. Even about dessert or chicken soup. It's harmless.

You might have sat next to me at the pediatrician's office today, or in Shul this week, or talked to me at the P.T.A. meeting, or been helped by me at that store today, or might be my cousin, etc..

What difference does it make if my post says my Username or Imamother? If you don't know me or don't know my Username, you can't connect posts to people.

Sorry for my asking, but please explain your seeming unhappiness at anon posts Banging head .

Because, my dear, although all usernames are anonymous, since they each have their own unique name, one can distinguish one from the other. If everyone posted as amother, how can I ever tell any posters apart? The anonymous feature is there so posters can choose to post under amother when they want to post something personal or ask a personalquestion and they don't want anyone to know it was them who posted.

Does that make it clearer?
