My entire family goes wild when I make farina for supper. I just stare at them and contain my bewilderment.

Lasagne or ziti - milchig or fleishig - isn't a easy dinner IMO, unless it was made the day before and just needs to be baked!

Lasagna
Lasagna
1 container cottage cheese
2 eggs
spices- pepper, garlic, basil, salt
Maranara Sauce
Frozen Spinach (optional)
Fried Veggies (optional)
Mix cottage cheese, eggs and spices together. Mix in spinach- thaw it out (put under hot water)
Fry mushrooms, onions, peppers (till tender)
Tomato sauce put on bottom of pan – thin layer
Layer with lasagna (don’t cook)
Cottage mix mixture
Put Fried Vegis
And layer with sauce
Lasagna
Cottage cheese mixture
Vegis
Sauce.
In b.t layer put cheese
Top layer- sauce, and put cheese alll over
Cover and bake for 1 hour (okay that part isnt too quick- but part one shouldnt take too long)
Pepper Steak
Package of Pepper Steak
½ c. soy sauce
¼ c. sugar
¼ c. oil
½ tsp fresh ginger
2 Cloves garlic chopped
2 onions sliced into rings very thin
2 Green Peppers cut into thin strips or squares
Put pepper steak into shallow container, and mix with soy sauce and sugar . Pour over meat and let it stand there for 30 min. Heat oil in large skillet for medium to high heat and add ginger and garlic and sautee for one min. Add onions and peppers- and sautee for 4-6 min until onions are see-through and peppers are soft. Add meat and sauce to the skillet, and reduce to heat to low. Sautee for 8 minutes or until done.
Serve it on top of hot rice or cous cous.’
(okay so that one isnt too quick either- but marinate it before so all you have to do is place it on the oven)
Ill post stuffed shells tomorrow- thats really easy. guarenteed
(tho I think it takes like 45 min to cook)

Here's how I make baked mac and cheese...so easy and quick
cook elbow pasta or ziti (or whatever kind is in the house) (16 oz box)
drain pasta and put in pan
mix 3/4 of 8 oz bag of shredded cheese (any kind) with pasta
add a few tablespoons of milk
sprinkle rest of cheese on top
optional: add 15 oz can of diced tomatoes to the mixture
also optional: seasonings like oregano
bake at 375 for 20-30 minutes in 8 x 8 pan
usually I double the recipe. I make one with the tomatoes for dh and I and one with just the cheese for the kids

Something quick to make (takes about an hour or so cooking) is baked potatoes in their "jackets".
Just scrub clean whole potatoes (removing bad parts) and bake them whole in a hot oven.
Delicious served with butter and all types of cheeses. The crispy potato skins can be eaten too.

ooh I just love easy dinner,
some ideas-
spaghetti and meatballs
sloppy joes, (just brown meat add onions if uwant and throw in manwhich) then put on buns have out salad a pickles, and a/t else, its a fun dinner
theres a really easy yummy recipe from short on time called kicken chicken, its chicken with duck sauce ortega taco spice, and optional hot sauce mix it up throw on chicken and bake 1 1/2 hrs uncovered
I have such an easy peper steak recipe that is cooked with the rice, so its all in one pot and saves on clean up I could post if a/o is interested
chili (and u could grill hot dogs to have chili dogs)
steak put on spices, brown, add in potatoes and carrots, some water and ketchup let it cook until sauce thickens, and thats also an all in one dinner
I dont know why e/t thinks lasagnas hard its one of my simplest recipes, but I dont precook so noodles
bake a sweet and sour sauce with chicken on the bone and stick in potatoes
hmm I duno what else today we had garlic chicken with eggplant and rice, but it actually wasn't so short on time! as the book said

actually the original recipe didn't call for rice, but me being lazy at all I threw it an and added more water to the recipe and it ended up saving me a pot and making the rice very flavorful!

Sweet and Sour Meat Loaf:
2 pound chopped meat
1 15 oz can tomato sauce
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
Mound the meat in a pan. If you want you can spice it like meatballs (chopped onion, garlic powder, splash soy sauce, onion soup mix, ketchup some or all of above) or leave it plain. mix sauce, pour on top of the meat and bake uncovered for 1 hour. Delicious sauce that goes great with mashed potatoes (if short on time - use the flakes) or rice/pasta.
Great time saver is to fry onions in bulk and freeze. Many recipes start with doing that, and by having it ready you save 10-15 minutes.

that is such a cute idea! but what is a hand toaster? is it like a sandwhich maker? if you do have a sandwhich maker (makes grilled cheese..) put wax paper on top & on bottom of sandwhich- cleanup is almost nonexistant. just the way I like it
