"Last week's cholent" absolutely must catch on as the new expression for this purpose. Everyone start saying it!
zaq wrote: | Last week's cholent
The newest metaphor to replace "death warmed over":
What can I tell you--all I had was an old beige shmatteh that never did fit right, and my "emergency" sheitel (you see me in it and you call Emergency), a zit the size of Mt. Rainier right on my chin, eyes and nose red from allergies, plus I didn't make it to the salon and was overdue for a wax, I had bags like suitcases under my eyes--really, I felt like last week's cholent. |

how to do kishka?
Slide to the right, slide to the left, shimmy, shimmy, hop, hop
Slide to the left, slide to the right, shimmy, shimmy from the top
That's how you do the "kishka"!

Where to find a Shabbos [gentile]?
Put in a classified ad? "Shabbos [gentile] Wanted. No Jews need apply."

Baby Products
DaVinci Crib
Wow, how much money do you have to burn that you feel you must have the actual crib Leonardo da Vinci slept in for your baby?
Do you think it will turn your LO into some sort of genius?
It probably isn't up to today's safety standards anyway.

Best/safest form of BC
Abstinence. The safest and most reliable. One wonders why it isn't more popular.

I actually debated posting that to the thread for about a second.

WHAT DO I DO WITH LEFTOVER POTATO KUGEL?
I'll take a wild guess--nuke it and eat it? Nah, too obvious.
Slice it, dip it in egg, coat with crumbs and fry it? Too redneck.
Run it thru the food processor and add it to next week's kugel batter? Too Depression Baby.
Compost it? Too greasy.
Use it as a door stop? Too flippant.
OK, I give up. What DO you do with it? And why are you shouting?

Fried Fish-Help!
Sorry. When you fry your hard drive, it can sometimes be fixed, but once you fry a fish, it's a goner.

"Gorgeous Italian boys coat for sale. size 8"
Are the looks (or nationality) of the original coat owner really relevant to this ad?
