Does anyone have a recipe for either a salad or side dish with frozen green beans? I like green beans but hate trimming them.

my friend gave me this one - prob is on the site somewhere already, and I think she said it was in one of the judy fishbein books.
spray a pan with cooking spray. pour in a package of frozen green beans. top with 2 cans (1 if it's a big one) of creamed corn. sprinkle with french's fried onions. I'm not sure on the original baking times, but seeing as it's all pre-cooked food, it shouldn't matter much. I do it at 350 for about 1/2 hour while covered, then for 15 minutes uncovered to get the onions crispy.

Put the beans in pot (if I saute onions 4 smthng else I put that as well)
Place chicken bottoms on top
season to taste: salt, pepper, garlic pwdr, onion powder
add water (not too much)
cook as long as u wld always cook your chicken
1/2 hr b4 finished add tomato sauce
yum!

Just toss them in some olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, place on a low-sided baking sheet and roast at about 400 degrees. When they are wrinkly, they're done! Voila, Ugly Green Beans! (Warning - this may cause an addiction, they are that good!)

take green beans frozen galic cubes salt and a little oil and bake at 350 uncovered for 1/2hr to 1 hr

Cook french style green beans til done. Sautee onions. Add cooked green beans and slivered almonds. Sautee all together, then salt and spice to taste. YUM

I saute an onion. Add in green beans. Add some brown sugar, salt pepper and garlic powder and saute for a while on low.

Same here, though I usually "suffer" through it anyway. I found a treat at a local supermarket last week, though - trimmed green beans sold packaged!! You may want to check and see if there's something similar in your neighborhood. Of course, this depends on whether you will purchase non-hechshered cut fruit/veggies. DH's rav says there is no issue with this, so we do.

sautee onion. add green beans until they are unfrozen
take out and sautee bread crumbs with sugar, when it's browned add the green beans

I just made these and I found them a bit bland. I added soy sauce and a little sesame oil and they were yum!!!

I also hate trimming green beans and started using bagged frozen (plus in the winter it is cheaper. )
I spray a baking sheet with pam. spread out one or 2 bags. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic. Drizzle on honey and soy sauce. Sray with pam. Bake at 400 for 8 - 10 minutes. They are YUM hot or cold.
variations:
omit soy sauce
add a can of sliced mushrooms
add thinly sliced red pepper before cooking
omit soy sauce add diced dried mango and nuts before serving.
Sugar snap peas are also a good substitute for green beans because you don't have to trim the ends.
