Defy - I used to make meals like that for me and DH when we ate alone in Israel (now we always have guests) and my neighbors were always scandalized! One would have thought I was serving milchigs and fleishigs together!

Anyway, enjoy - sounds delicious.

Tomorrow's lunch:

crock-pot chili
home made salsa
home made guacomole
corn chips
taco shells
white rice

Tonight is real easy... we're all so tired Friday nights and the soup I make really is a one-pot meal.

A thick chicken and veggie soup with extra necks added so there's no fighting... I'll make matzah balls and probably also serve it with rice.

I'm going to keep the soup in the crockpot - when I make chicken soup, I keep it on the warmer all shabbos, but the pumpkin soup is thick, and I'm afraid it'll burn.

I'll put the burgers on the warmer.

How do you make your burgers?

Hamburgers:
Sautee onions and mushrooms
add the onions, mushrooms, breadcrumbs, eggs (amount differs depending on amount of ground beef), italian seasonings, garlic powder, and some bbq sauce.
Mix together, form into patties. I've been making them in the oven, baking at 350 for a little while, then 425, and broiling them for a few minutes at the end.

sure, but you might not like it, not a lot of people do

tumeric about teaspoon or so
finely chooped garlic the more the better
oil
chicken
celery chopped
potatoe cubed
cup of lemon juice
mint if you like chopped
rice

in a soup pot put some oil add tumeric garlic and chicken mix and let it cook for a few minutes untill flavor comes out, make sure it does not burn so keep it on low flame, add water about 8,9 cups, potatoes, celery. let it cook untill potatoes are somewhat tender, not mushy, then slowly add lemon juice and stir while you pour it in. then let it cook some more about half hour to an hour on low flame so the flavors mix. chopp mint and add, I usually do not add mint, but my aunt does she says its good, its fine without it.

serve in a bowl with rice, put a scoop of rice and pour soup over, enjoy

Sounds good, I'll have to try it.

Can I use lemon juice from the bottle, or do you use fresh lemons?
