Broccoli slaw is in the grocery store with the bagged salads. It's like coleslaw but it's made from broccoli stems. You could use regular vinegar instead of apple cider.

some brocolli slaw is made from just the stems, making checking it/having a hechsher easier than I the tops are used too.

I make this (or something very similar) very often. I just buy broccoli and cut it up myself.

Is this the broccoli slaw that also has shredded carrots? That's all I have seen with a hechsher. Will that work?

thanks this recipe is just what I have been looking for. I have one question though: I have never used ramen noodles, do you need to cook them? are they supposed to be soft in the salad?

The ramen noodles should be toasted crunch them up put the flavor packet on them and put then in a pan with some oil until toasted.

Yes. I already toasted my almonds and ramen noodles for shabbos. Just don't toss it together with salad and dressing untill you are ready to eat. It doesn't make much of a difference actually when you toss it all together. I even like it the next day when some is left over. But mostly There are no leftovers of this salad Smile.
