I am not making complete yom tov menus cuz eating with family, but here's my contribution

chicken wontons

can u please post recipe? thanx

the original recipe is in kbd, it's pieces of chidken cutlets marinated and wrapped in wonton doughs,
I didn't do that cuz they need to be made fresh or frozen rawa nd baked at 475 and my oven won't be at that temperature on yom tov so I ended up making chicken kishke squares
square of chicken cutlet, small piece of kishke on small pastry square, fold all sides to the middle, pinch closed, brush with duck sauce and bake until golden brown (abt. 30 min.) at 350

Yummy2 can you please post the recipe for praline pie? Thanks!

PRALINE PIE:

1 graham cracker crust
8 oz topping
1/2 cup confection sugar
2 eggs
2 or 4 oz baking chocolate ( like from shufra) each cube is an oz. deppends how sweet you want it, I do use 4.
1/2 cup praline paste (comes in like a can from bakers choice)

whip up whip in the blender using whisks, while melting chocolate on double boiler on stove top. (the whip should be fully defrosted. if no time to defrost, let it sit in a baking pan in the sink with hot tap water, it will defrost in no time...)
once topping whipped up, add sugar
then add the eggs
add the melted chocolate
add praline paste (mix praline well before adding to rest of ing.)
mix everything well in mixer.

pour into pie crust, COVER AND FREEZE!!

no baking, just a mixure needed, and dessert is served.

although I originaly planned on making this, ( I once had it by sil), after getting the exact recipe, I somehow will skip this. way to much of a job to make. can even drag to an overnight job... there are so many other crunchy mouse pies out there, I will not be making this... also once you read the ing, topping and more topping etc.... to each their own. )
since you asked, here it is:

cappochino crunch

CRUST:

can either make this crust, or can skip this step and use ready pie crust.

1/2 cup ground nuts (almonds probably best)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1 sick margerine

mix by hand realy well.
put 1/2 of this into 2 round 9 inch baking pans

bake 350' 15 min.
the other half, save for crumbs on top.
optional for crumbs on top, if you want it to be crispy, can bake on silver foil alongside with the crust.

take out from oven, let cool.

ICE CREAM:

8 eggs seperated
between 1/2 and 3/4 cups sugar
2 scoops vanilla sugar
3 T. instant coffee
1 1/2 cup non dairy hadar topping

beat egg whites, till stiff with sugar
very slowly add in yolks till incorporated
pour in topping, beat it in.
desolve coffee in a DROP of water, a dot, not more
pour that in

pour ontop of crust and freeze
once frozen, make choc fudge

CHOCOLATE FUDGE:

1/2 stick margerine
1/2 cup non dairy topping
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 cup sugar

cook up everything.
allow to cool
pour onto ice cream and refreeze

TOPPING:

can either whip up another small container topping, or can use topping spray, make swirls...
spread over fudge filling.

CRUMBLE:
either the left over from the first step when you made the crust, or buy crunch from bakers choice for the crunch.

and freeze.

yummy2, if I would make the crunch pie, I would use a store bought crust, ice cream from the freezer, store bought frozen whip or refrigerated store bough whipped cream... and make the fudge sauce and an easy rice crispy/chocolate crunch.
I'm sure it was delicious at your SIL's! Smile

Wow, I'm really impressed and I want a million of these recipes too. I'm pregnant and sick as well with some kind of virus so I'm going to make it really simple even though we are having guests for all the meals. (Only 4 b/c we live in Israel.)

Challah and honey
Maybe dips, we usually don't bother, but it will make the meals seem bigger. Maybe even egg sald, thanks for the idea, mimismile
Chicken soup at night, gefilte fish during the day
Sweet and sour meatballs
Whatever chicken DH decides to make
Rice
Salad (maybe I'll put mango and/or pomegranate seeds in it to make it fancier)
Broccoli kugel
Tzimmes
Haven't decided about dessert yet.

Going to serve the same for both Yom Tov meals and haven't gotten to Shabbos yet but hoping it'll mostly be leftovers.

Is that terrible?

Not at all!!! On the contrary I'm actualy very impressed! When I was pregnant I dont think I cooked a thing, let alone host guest. You're doing wonderful! You go woman Wink. Refuah shelaima on your virus. Dessert ,can be bought cake with bought ice cream. Fruits with or bought chocolates. Dh can just pour a sauce over chicken and food is served. You can even have him smear the chicken with simple catsup, easy and tasty. The sky is the limit, but no reason to out do what is necessary at this time.
