DH is making it just for a few of his friends, as I've posted onother threads.

It’ll be prob a pretty small crowd, plus I do not need the bowls filled to the end of the evening – let everyone eat everything up and enjoy it..

So..

Dd will bake choc chip cookies for Shabbos and put enough away for the event
Pretzels
Potato chips
Popcorn which I will pop fresh that day
Various drinks – which is what the men mostly like anyway

I hate “everyday” nosh, but it’s not for me; if it was for me, I’d be serving a lot of rich, creamy cakes!

What do you all think?

Ladies go more for fruit and veggie platters, but it’s not for ladies, so…..

You could probably serve cake , too. Men love cake and cookies!

You can also serve some bowls filled with assorted nuts and candies.

if it was me making it for dh & his friends I would add some franks in a blanket & potato kugel, maybe a salad.

my dh & his friends aren't the type to sit & munch on chips & pretzels
