You tend to tease me
With your kindness
Eclipsing my vision
To a brief blindness
You tend to tug at
My heartstrings so delicate
Confusing my mind
Playing with my intellect
You tenderly touch upon
My very sensitive soul
Caressing it like pure silk
Healing it to become whole
You feel the rhythm
Of my broken heart
Mirroring my feelings
As a version of my art
You get my inclinations
Understand the language unspoken
Following my train of thought
Without getting it broken
You lend me a rare glimpse
Of unhidden affection
Simultaneously providing
An enclave of protection.

Robyn, I feel so bad it deleted itself, but why do you write ur poems straight onto the computer? This poem took me a week and a half to perfect, on paper..... Do it slowly, the results are finer.
amother, my therapist is perfect, and I'm not sharing her with anyone!
But I have a question, does anyone think the feelings here are too intense for a therapist? And would this be appropriate to share it with her?

I think that its good to share ur writings w ur therapist. it gives them a better understanding of u. I show all my writings to my therapist.
and I typed it twice and it got deleted. your point of writing it first, is a good one. but im at work so at a computer so I usually type my poems....

U typed it TWICE? I'm sure you remember some words, let's see it!
I also share my writings with my therapist but this was about her and I don't know how she'll react cuz this might be too much, KWIM? Like it's too romantic maybe?

I usually type my poems in microsoft word, then I copy and paste. That way I don't lose what I've written.

It's the transference. I don't think it's too intense to share with the therapist as this is how you feel about her.

So let's get the transference term straight. A client projects feelings towards a therapist that are not appropriate because she thinks she's someone else? Tell me if I got it right please 'life'sgreat', if not explain.

what are the two terms? transferance and counter-transferance?
I don't know if it's necessarily just that you transfer your feelings for someone else onto your therapist. I think it might also be that you get too close to your therapist and depend on them in more intimate / stronger ? way? I dont know why im blanking.
but then again I remember learning that lets say you have issues with your mom and you go to a motherly type therapist... I dont know. ha. just read what I wrote. makes no sense. o well....

Transference isn't always inappropriate. If the client and therapist are aware that there's transference, it can actually help the client in many ways. It's usually projecting a 'person' onto your therapist.

Beautiful poem. I think it really showcases your awareness of yourself.
