shabbos?" I asked my children. "yellow cake or chocolate cake?"
"yellow cake," ds answered.
I turned to my dd, "okay, sweetheart, yellow cake or chocolate cake?"
"Mmmmmmm....I want purple cake! yeah!" (she's two).
oh well. can't please everyone.

How about grape juice instead of the oj, will that make purple? or 1 drop red and 1 drop blue food coloring, it will be very light lavender? I once made for my kids cup cakes and on shabbos sang to them red and orange, green and blue.... each got to choose a color they wanted and we all had a blast!

Ugh. This reminds me of the blueberry biscuits and cake I once experimented with. The purple result was terribly off putting
