It's 1/2 C chrainaise and 1/2 C honey mustard per 8 bone in chicken parts. It's not soooooo spicy, but I'm guessing you could use less chrainaise and more honey mustard. :-)

Gefilte Fish
Corn Salad
Israeli Salad

Squash Soup

Roast Chicken
Sweet Potato Pie
Sugar Snap Peas

(Some sort of store bought cake type of desert I will find in my freezer.)

And cholent during the day with much of the above.

It's really simple! The recipe comes from a Mishpacha Family First mag from last January.

scant 1/4 c. oil
2 onions, diced
2 medium cans sliced mushrooms
1 t. mushroom soup mix
6 T. flour
2 t. baking powder
4 eggs
salt and pepper, to taste

Preheat oven to 350. Saute onions in oil, add mushrooms and saute a few more minutes. Remove pan from flame and add the rest of the ingredients. Pour into a 9' round pan and bake for 45 minutes- 1 hour.

This usually pops out of the pan and cuts really nicely! (Use two plates to flip it upside down and out of the pan and then cut into slices on your serving dish, keeping round shape.)

Two questions-
First, what size cans of mushrooms - either the small can or the tall can?
Also, just curious, have you ever made this in a pie crust (even though you dont really need the extra calories)?

I use the larger cans- 8 oz drained, or 13.25 oz net. I might have tried it in a pie crust once or twice and it probably came out ok. (But I try not to use pie crusts for Shabbos all together unless they're mini- I don't like the way big tins on the table look! But come to think of it, these would probably look really nice in mini! Very Happy )

Schnitzel with Rice and veggies
White bean salad (with zucchini and tomatoes in a light oil and vinegar dressing...that or lemon juice...I have to wait till it cools)
carrot salad from last week
avocado slices
fennel

Homemade cupcakes (my girls--both nights)

Chicken
Bulgher casserole (bulgher, raisins and onions baked in the oven)
salads and veggies from day before

Covered for most of the time, and then uncovered so the onions get crispy!
