I have some white fish filet, in the freezer, since Sept 2009.
I defrosted it over night and wanted to cook today, it doesnt smell but has some yellow areas..
should I throw it out?

Should be ok, esp if it doesn't smell funny. If you're concerned can you just cut out the discoloured part?

Throw it out. Fish that is frozen is never very tasty to begin with and if it's that old I would have very low expectations for it.

It shouldn't be bad, just won't be so great tasting.
So just use a recipe that calls for a very powerful sauce.
