My dh loves turkey neck, but the only thing I know to do with it is to put it into the chicken soup and let it cook there. I've looked through all my cookbooks, but don't see any recipes for it. Do any of you guys know what else I can make with it?
TIA

I don't know if there's any specific recipe for turkey neck, but why can't you just use any other poultry recipe and make it that way? It would probably come out great if you just spice it up and bake it!

I cook it in chicken soup as well. I also cook it in vegetable soups and in bean soups.
The meat and bones especially from turkey neck, enhance the flavor in soups allot.

Thanks guys.
6coop - I never cook with turkey, mainly chicken and some red meat every now and then. I can't see baking turkey just like I would a drumstick, but am I wrong?
butterfly - Thanks for the idea, but I don't make soups that often (besides for Shabbos) so I'm hoping for a quicker way to cook it during the week.
ra_mom - Thanks for the link. It says it's for 10-15 necks though, so would Ihave to cut the rest of the recipe in thirds, too? (1 onion...1 green pepper?)

I stew it with onions, fava beans or chickpeas, some butternut squash, a little chicken stock (telma powder), turmeric, and cilantro, then serve it with couscous. pretty good.

I cook whole turkey and turkey parts (never just necks) but I would imagine that a neck would come out similar. I've cooked chicken necks (with other chicken in the pan) and they come out great.

I would say use 4 turkey necks and a small onion. Reserve 2 cups cooking stock, and bake with a small pepper and 1 cup rice (with necks on top). Make sure to use enough salt.

For turkey parts I usually put it in a pan (with a tiny bit of water on the bottom) and sprinkle it with garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. I bake it at 350 for about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs depending on the size of the turkey parts and how much stuff is in the oven. I also usually turn it over and sprinkle the other side and baste it once or twice while cooking.
