DD came home with a note that a girl in her class has nits and lice. I checked dd and low and behold found quite a few nits and of course lice. I finally got her clean and she went to sleep. Now I'm gonna do a conditioner/comb treatment. If I see that she's clean can I send her to school? it's the last day before yomtov, she's having a full day and is in the middle of making an a & c for sukkos or am I better off keeping her home and arrange for the teacher to send it home?
I'd appreciate an answer before 8 o'clock. Thank you!

If she's clean (and you check her again in the morning) I think you can send.

I agree - if she's clean (check her in the morning) it would be a real pity for her to miss the last day...

Greenfire, they have the nits ladies coming every rosh chodesh checking the kids but that starts after yom tov.
I sent her in the end after conditioning, and combing, and combing and washing and combing and blow drying her hair on the hottest setting, combing thru again and checking again and after picking out some nits and rechecking she was B"H fine. I'll check her when she comes home from school I"YH. She went with a pony and I warned her not to sit close to anyone and of course never ever to share any headgear. I'm itching now just thinking about it!
People have recommended I should buy the shampoo and conditioner from Dr. Fischer. It has rosemary oil I think and it's supposed to repel the lice.
Thanks everyone!
