this is my first year making yom tov with an elecrtic oven...not sure what to do...any ideas of best way to heat up food sat. night?... my oven will shut off automatically after 12 hrs...so can't keep that running through shabbos and really don't want to keep the top burners on....it'll make the kitchen really hot...any suggestions? thanks!!!

You could use a chafing dish and sternos, lighting from a pre-exhisting flame on M"S.
