I received this cookbook as an engagement gift. It is by Suzie Fishbein, so I am sure the recipes are good. However, it is organized by the months/ holidays of the year, AND THERE IS NO INDEX. So if I don't want to make that roast on Succos I will never find it!!
So I have never ever used it.
Has anyone had any luck figuring this one out?
Thanks

Mine has an index, and it's divided up by course with the holidays in between as dividers. Is this some kind of weird reprint?

It is not organized by holiday. It has a section for side dishes, meat, fish etc. Its only that at the beginning of each section it has a sample menu for each holiday.

It is such a great cookbook that it is worth figuring out how to use it. There is a seperate holiday section at the back and if you use it enough you will remember to refer to the back. Try the Rosh Hashana chicken and the cheesecake recipe is amazing.

Maybe your index is missing, but mine definitely has one!

If you look closely, you will see that it's separated by type (appetizers, soups, salads, meats, poulty), and that at the beginning of each section there is a holiday listed, along with a menu. But if you turn the page, you will see how the section is actually for a food type, not for a holiday.
