When do you make lunches?
At night - are you kidding, how would I ever make them last minute? I put so much effort into each lunch and plus it would be too stressful to save for last minute.

I actually put as a possible response other/explain but it didn't make it when I pressed submit. If you have a different reply you can just post it.

I don't think my vote worked. I voted the first choice. I dont work that hard on them. That was just the only choice for the night before

At night, but it’s nothing special and takes only a few minutes. I just don’t have those minutes in the morning.

Exactly this.....plus I like to make lunches when the kids are not around so that no-one has a chance to see it and complain about the contents Can't Believe It Can't Believe It
Once they're at school and that's what they have they eat it nicely!

It's just one lunch for now. For me it's easier to make myself stay up just that little bit longer to pull it together than to be sure to be up and have everything together on time to do it in the AM.

Night time because it’s too rushed in the morning. They aren’t elaborate though.

I make it the evening before, but not because it's anythingelaborate or time consuming. My kids leave for school really early (bus comes at 7) so no time to make it in the morning. I'd rather they get those extra minutes of sleep. For kids 10 and under I usually do it while they're eating supper. This way they can weigh in on what they want. Older kids do it themselves at some point in the evening, I'm not really involved with it unless they specifically ask me for help with something.

Missing option:
Kids making lunch.
I know so many families that have some sort of system .
Either
1. Each day another kid does all
2. Every kid doing their own
3. Kids divided in half each older kid does their own plus one younger kid
Etc.
Etc.
I’m sure there are other great systems to choose from

Another option:
In the morning because whatever my kids say they want at night, they won’t want in the morning. I currently only have one child who needs lunch though, so it’s not terrible. She’s very picky about what she takes to school, so she takes a Keven almost every day. Snacks she picks in the morning. I just bought pancakes and waffles that she likes, so maybe she will have some of those too.

Didn’t vote because my option is not there.

Morning.
I am a foodie and don’t think it tastes the same and I don’t give it to my kids like that either. I wake up earlier on purpose to have time to make food. It is not super fast, nor would I be up anyway. I also use way to many containers to keep this separate and fresh.

I feel similar. I don’t mind the potchke.
Please share what you make? I could always use ideas. I like variety.

One son likes toasted pita with zaatar and sesame (easy, just gotta watch it doesn't burn) which I start making about half hour before he leaves.

Other son wanted pita-pizza in the sandwich maker every day but now he is tired of that.

Sometimes I give them a whole peeled kiwi in a baggie. Sometimes omlette or tuna. But generally we are short on sandwich ideas.
