| |
I am looking for some easy recipes for shavous meat meals, I dont want to make typical shabbos food. Also I hate cooking for the second yom tov day bc the food is never so fresh and hard to reheat (but I dont want to cook on yom tov either). Please post some recipe ideas. (btw we only eat meat meals on shavous- I hate it)
thanks

| You cook regular noodles. Then you take breadcrumbs with a little oil and put in frying pan for a few minutes on a low flame. Keep mixing and when its all brownish you mix with noodles. Easy and yummy.

Did you mean the actual meat?
Maybe skirt steak? More expensive than my normal Shabbos fare, but not as expensive as a lot of yom tov meat. And easy! Just put a little bit of water in the bottom of a pammed pan, put skirt steak in it (steak should NOT be covered - just a little water so it will make gravy and not dry out). Sprinkle onion soup mix on top of meat. Add any veges you want (carrots, sweet pot, potatoes, etc) or don't add anything. Cook on 250/300 for 2 hours or a little more (check on it to see how it's doing, but it should be fine). Zehu!
