When I was a kid, I thought it was just us who skipped most of Nirtzah. But now that I'm married and have been at different people's homes, I see it's quite common. Hey, we made it that far, at least that's worth something!
What does your family do?

My dh as a kid used to do everything. My family did not. We do not as it is not a Lubavitch minhag to sing all the songs and he really misses it. He actually sits down after the Sedre and sings all the songs afterwards. This might sound silly but I never relized that there was anything else after L'Shonon Haba before I got married.

We enjoy the singing, and if I'm impatient, I will clean while singing.
our favorite is the shelley lang version of "who knows one" we all enjoy singing it in english w/ hand motions too.

to clarify - there's no saying Chasal Sidur Pesach, no piyutim at all, just Hallel, drink 4th cup, and say L'Shana Ha'Baaa B'Yerushalayim

oh no, we say ALL of nirtzah on both nights. it's beautiful! I guess this explains why some of you ended your sedorim so early. Nirtzah adds about another half hour to our sedorim. We even sing the Yiddish piyut 'nin bo dain temple shira', which is the nicest part of the seder imho. My father also says shir hashirim after the first seder, and the 2nd seder is delayed by us women folk waiting for the men to return from sefirah counting before we go back to our homes with the sleepy kids....

a friend told me her family would see how many different tunes they could come up w/ for "l'shana haba beyerushalayim"- and they would sing all of them.

well, I guess if you're Lubavitch, it's only a few lines - I didn't realize that.
But for others, there's the Echod Mi Yodeiya, Chag Gadya, etc, etc, etc... So apparently it seems like those parts ARE optional

It's interesting this is being discussed, because dh talked about how the Gr"a explains that Chad Gadyo is extremely deep and sums up the entire history of the Jewish people. The most simple (it might seem) piyutim are often a cover for very deep ideas.
