My husband was called back for a second interview for a job. They will probably bring up salary, and we want to know what is normal range to ask for.
The role is titled product developer/ support admin, the job description sounds kind of like a product manager. He’d be helping develop new products, assist in development process, testing samples, etc.
Being that they are training him in and he doesn’t have experience in this field, what would be a normal starting salary to ask for?
The job is located in manhattan.

decide on a number that would make you take the job. then add to that so you can have enough for some extras.

Jobs that offer full training usually offer less than the companies that require experience in the field. You can research this position online (Glassdoor etc) and see what the going rate is for such a job and then decide how much is the least you’ll take the job for and add some to that.

Be a little evasive, try to get them to make an offer. Of course they will try to get him to say, but it’s really on them.
