I absolutely love this show.
It gives me a peek into a life I would never know.
Its nothing like desperate housewives by the way that show is insipid
Its like they try to be as unreal as possible

Anyways my question is why do they do this? Its heartbreaking. What motivates them to live such a hard life by choice?

Just started this show, so still catching up on episodes!

I love it. I think many people join the army for monetary reasons, and benefits. I think army also gives $$$ for college, which I guess they wouldn't have otherwise. So whether these wives fell in love with someone who was in the army or can handle this life due to the advantages I don't know.

I just don't understand the relationship of Roland, and his wife is in the army. It's very...interesting. Does that happen in real life, that the wife is in the army and not the husband?

I also watch this, and I see a lot of comparisons (values, ethics) to the Jewish world...I always tell my husband, they should start the show called "Kollel Wives", it would be great!! Smile

You should tell your idea to the producers of Srugim - maybe they would be interested in a "Kollel Wives" show.

I love the show.
I started taking it out of the library and then I saw that you can continue watching online
The way the army shapes the families, how the wives (or roland as husband) goes through life without their partner.
In some way I envy them, they make their own decisions but then it's very hard to slip back into life when the husband comes back

BTW I also love Coming home, which is alss a little about army wives waiting for their DH's. Anyone's seen it?

What motivates them. Its so painful and scary. It is a sacrifice.

They believe in the philosophy, defending their freedom and rights. The same way some people enroll in the Israeli army for life (not the obligatory years).

Americans are generally very patriotic and this is why their family goes through this, to defend these ideals.

I'm watching this now (becuz I can't watch a show that isn't completed yet. I don't enjoy the suspense and the waiting from wk to wk or months sometimes) and I'm obsessed. I bawled like a baby when Jeremy died. starting season 6 now and im already sad that it's almost over. what should I watch after??

anyone else watching this now?
