any ideas what I can make for erev tisha baav for a soup that has protein inside it?? a good soup that is.

add beans, barley, legumes, lentils...anything similar. You don't have to add a lot but a handful of white beans will be plenty to give protein, and not overwhelm the taste, or consistency, of the soup.

You can also add cubes of Tofu. (it takes on the flavor of the soup).
p.s. In the ministrone soup recipe I posted, you can add diff. beans like: kidney or garbanzo.

Do you mean with the beans? I would add tomatoes, onion, celery, carrots, zucchinni, all that kind of stuff.
I'm making a veggie soup, good idea to add the protein, and serving it with long thick noodles.
