HELP!!!! Just got a crockpot as a gift. I'm a novice...how do I make à cholent in I?,please help me!!

Can you post a link to the crock pot? That way maybe someone with the same model can give specific advice. Otherwise, place all ingredients in on Friday, set it on low, mix well and don't open until you're ready to eat it.

Yes.
Also pore over the recipes that came with it. Don't throw the booklet away.
In general, a jar of Barilla tomato sauce, a bag of dried beans (rinsed), some potatoes if you want, beef pieces, and water will put you on your way.
It's a very forgiving appliance.
Don't plug anything else into the same outlet, I would say, and keep children away from the wire, and put on a heatproof surface. It shouldn't be near curtains.
Use it in good health.

I use a crock pot liner to keep it clean, just place all ingredients cover with water and set it on low until ready to serve.

I generally do some ratio of the following. It's not exactly this amount but I eyeball it and pretend it's around these amounts.
1/2 kilo cheek meat
2 large potatoes
2 medium or 1 large onion
1/2 head garlic, smashed and chopped into pieces
2/3 cup mixed beans, boiled for ten minutes and soaked in the pot for another ten minutes. Then drained and rinsed.
2/3 cup barley
1/2 cup ketchup
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup Worcestershire
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp Tabasco
1 tbsp hot paprika
1 tbsp sweet paprika
1 tsp black pepper
Fill water until 2 inches from the top or higher. Turn on high Thursday night before bed.
At some point Friday early afternoon add kishke and lower the heat.
We have yeshiva boys come and they said it's the best cholent they ever had.
