My stoooopid question du jour #1: what are the chicken bottoms? I mean, what potion is it? Is this what we call drumsticks or thighs?
My stooopid question du jour #2: for other imamothers who make chicken soup on a crockpot, what do you do about skimming off the fat? Do you cook a day before and cool in the fridge? As much as I use the paper towel to skim off the fat on surface, it still doesn't come out clean.

When I use the crockpot, yes. I put the it in the pot Thursday night right after the kids go to bed and cook it on high until I'm ready for bed. Then I put it in the frig and skim it on Friday afternoon and put it back in the crockpot.

A chicken bottom consists of 1 thigh and 1 drumstick, attached.
