I've had this before but don't know how to make it: how do you make the sliced breaded gefilte fish in the oven? And can it be served cold or will it get mushy? What's a good sauce to go with it?

Slice the Gfish while it is still mostly frozen thats very important. Then dip it in egg then breadbrumbs and put them on a greased cookie sheet. Bake until they are slightly browned. They are delicious cold, and not mushy at all! They are great with chrein, tomatoe sauce or just about anything you want to put on them

I shmear it, still fully frozen, in mayo, then flavored breadcrumbs, cover, bake. It's very good!

So you keep it whole? That sounds really good!

With the sliced baked fish it makes perfect sandwiches for after shabbos if there are leftovers (which is highly unlikely. Smile
