If you potty trained your kid either with a special potty or with a special seat that you put on the toilet, at what point did u transition your kids to using the regular toilet without anything special on it? How much after they were trained? How old were they? How did you transition them?

So dd1 trained at almost 3 on a toilet seat with steps, a couple of months later she decided that she no longer needed the steps and was ready for the real toilet. At the moment I am training dd2 on the toilet with the steps she's almost 2 and I'm assuming that she'll need them alot longer than dd1 as she's very little and I think it will be a very long time before she'll be big enough to use the big toilet.
