So, Ive been in therapy for a couple of years now.Very good connection we have. The last 2 Chanukahs I gave my therapist Jewish books which she loved. The problem is I cannot remember which book I gave her the first year. Can I ask her if she has the -- book or not? I already bought her the book I wanted to and then realized I already may have given it to her-what should I do? Please don't tell me to give her nothing

LOL Greenie!
How about you casually ask her if she enjoyed the book... and get her to say the title in the conversation?

of course ask her if you already gave it to her--or just if she already has it. if you didn't give it to her, maybe someone else did.

I bought this book because its very inspirational.I already own it and don't really want another copy hanging out.Besides,I already paid for this,Now I'm realizing that she may get upset if I give her any gift this year since she knows we've been struggling financially BIG time and it may be super awkward0maybe a card will do even though I just gave one for rosh Hashanah-what do you think?

A book is not such a big investment, so I don't think you’re supposed to feel awkward. Since you already bought the book you might as well give it to her and say something like "I hope I didn't give you this book yet. You see, I really love this book and gave it to a few ppl already as a gift"
