The question is why?
Is it because he holds it in in school because he is uncomfortable in those bathrooms or to leave class for extended time?
Is it hard on him because he's constipated?
Is it a recent thing?
All of these things could help in determining how to help him

He wont have a bowel movement for the past few months, anywhere. It turns into a whole fight to get him to go.

not having a bowel movement for the past few months??? that sounds dangerous. maybe he's constipated and a bowel movement is painful. firstly speak to your dr. but when I was toilet training one of my children I ended up having to give him an enema which basically forced him to go.
again: speak to a dr. it can be a more signifigant problem

I don't think the OP meant he hasn't gone but more like it's a fight to get him to go. Maybe give him fiber supplement like benefiber or put flax seed in his cereal?

He has had this problem since he was trained and he still didnt get over it.
A few years ago we tried giving him the fiber but he just ended up getting his pants dirty cuz he couldnt control it.

Give him more juices to drink (healthy ones that is ie; orange juice etc.) so he wont' be able to HOLD back anymore and go naturally!

weve tried everything ... giving him laxatives, fiber, etc does not help it just leads to accidents or almsot accidents because he just wont take himself to the toilet... he just goes into panic mode. I believe that this stems from the fact taht as a baby/toddler he used to be constipated and it made him afraid to push. so now when he is 3 years old he still hatesthe sensation of pushing even if he is not constipated.... the question is...how to fix this issue.

Perhaps you could draw up a rewards chart to encourage him to go.

I know someone who had a similar problem with a similar aged son. Naturally, I don't know too many details because it's not the kind of thing she is going to go talking about, being that the kid is at an age where you want to protect his privacy. But I do know that there are doctors that specialize in these things, and you should ask your pediatrician for a recommendation. He went to a specialist at Hopkins. I wish I knew more details,

They had an article about this in the jewish press about this a few months ago. In dr. judith gudelia's column. Do you have a poor relationship with this child? I believe it was a psychological issue. In the column, the boy's father berated him and was controlling. And this was the way the son was able to exert control.
