We are leaving on Sunday to the Bahamas and will be staying at Baha Mar. We will be there through next shabbos. Cinko is doing a very nice Friday night meal but is charging a lot of money for shabbos day for what seems like only Kiddush type food. My husband is thinking that we only do the Friday night meal and just have sandwiches for shabbos lunch, and have a nice meal at Cinko Saturday night, being that it's our last night. So technically we wouldn't be saving any money, it's just that he seems to think that one is worth it and one is not. Has anyone been there on shabbos and can tell me whether or not shabbos lunch is worth it?

We were there with our kids over shabbos about a year ago.
Firstly, everything is super expensive given the resort fees etc.
For us, it was very valuable being able to go to the Caribbean without the food shlep.
The shabbos meal is more Heimish than the asian fusion theme presented at the restaurant.
Friday night was ok. Not amazing but ok. Given the alternative though, it was perfect. I will mention that their kids menu was really lacking. My young kids eat a lot more variety than frozen chicken nuggets and pasta so we shared our portions with our kids.
Shabbos lunch is to-go. We received a large paper bag with the entire meal. If you’re ok with sandwiches, that’ll work too. Was good food as well given the circumstance and we ate it on the outdoor seating of the restaurant.
For saturday night, we bought dairy food from the food truck.
