If you buy from the caterer or from a store, how much is a 9x13 pan of potato kugel?

My guess between 20-30 dollars which is crazy. But I know it’s time consuming, but still crazy expensive

I am guessing this is largely location dependent. In Baltimore, it's $25 from the supermarket and $40 from a popular caterer.

Wow. These were the prices a few years ago. I assumed things went up due to rising prices in eggs.

The last time I bought kugels, I paid around $35-40 each from a local restaurant that does shabbos take out.

$28-30

I make an amazing kugel (in my family opinion) and only use 4 eggs per 5lbs which isn’t that much even with the price of eggs.

It's about $40. Overnight is more. Heated up is more

Note if you ask them to deliver automatically like a subscription it's cheaper

Wow! That is really expensive for something made with such simple ingredients. I just calculated that my homemade kugel costs about 6 dollars plus about 20 minutes of my time. Prob not going to buy kugel if it is such a crazy price margin.

I've calculated that it costs me about $10 to make a kugel. (And I buy the cheapest potatoes and eggs in my area. )
It has likely gone uo since I calculated this 2 years ago.
