I am looking for a high school for my son. He needs a very warm place that does not have the highest level of learning. The schools that his school recommended are honestly not really a fits for him. I am looking for other ideas of where people have sent.

I would look into Ohr Reuven. They do have a high level of learning, BUT theyre also incredibly warm and work with the kids, as long as they are serious about learning and have good attitudes

What about Yeshiva Derech Hatorah (chofetz Chaim) in Monsey.
I know some nice boys that go there. The learning is not on such a high level.

Can you give me more information about it?
What type of boys go there? Is there a regular dress code? Do they have decent English?

The chofetz chaim yeshiva that is currently in Staten island is moving to passaic for next year. This will be on a higher level than the monsey one but not as intense as other monsey yeshivos.

That's good to know. In general what is a chofetz chaim yeshiva? (My first boy)

I think all the chofetz chaims have decent English, although some are better than others. I don't know exactly what "type" the boys are.

Chofetz chaim is a large system that has many branches/high schools/beis medrash/kollel all over America. Assuming you don't want him to dorm, you would be choosing between monsey and passaic. I'm not from a chofetz chaim background myself so maybe someone who knows more can explain the general hashkafa. I know some of the high schools wear white shirts and the more out if town ones do not. I would very strongly recommend you visiting any yeshiva you are seriously considering. It really helps to see it yourself.

Visiting the yeshivah and speaking to current parents will help you the most.

I'm definitely going to check it out before. I just wanted to know what type it is. Generally. I don't come from that background myself but I'm very middle of the road and it might be the right style for my son
