My 2 year old is impossible. He has a mind of his own, is very stubborn, and does not listen easily. How do I deal with him?

Enjoy him!
It’s called terrible twos for a reason.
The more love you put into him, the less room for negativity. Laugh at the absurdity of the situation!
One day you will walk him to the chuppa and not even remember this stage.
You got this.

And fyi two year olds aren’t prone to listening.
Just guide him. It’s time to eat? Take him by the hand gently and sit him on the chair. Time to go to sleep? Pick him up, give him a kiss, and take him to his room.

Your describing a typical toddler.
Maybe give more specific examples?

It's hard to know if this is a typical toddler. It could be, or it could be out of the norm.

To some degree, OP, this is normal. But there are ways to help. Have you read any books on parenting toddlers or taken any classes? Things like giving choices, emphathizing, making tasks fun or funny, singing songs...are all great ways to help motivate typical toddlers. Are these things you've tried yet?

Mine does too. It's adorable! But he's my fifth child Smile The whole family loves watching him try to boss everyone else around.

The only difficult toddlers struggle to do basics like feed themselves and communicate. I have had 2. The regular toddlers often just need positive attention. Books read them-which they pick. Model good behavior and praise them when they act properly. Label everything so that the child can communicate more easily. Toddlers teach us to slow down and pay attention to everything. One child of mine loved airplanes and trains. And flowers and clouds. And wanted to look every time he noticed. Smart toddlers notice more and find the world fascinating.

My kids are STUBBORN!
I get you that it's so hard when they tantrum but you have to remember if you teach them now that tantrums aren't going to make you change your mind it's easier as a 2 yrs old than as a 6 yr old.

They are testing you to see how much they can push you to make you change your mind or give in.
Just keep repeating whilst they are having tantrums that you know they really want X or really don't want Y but now we have to do Z.
It's a repeat and repeat. Continue doing what you need to do next to them whilst saying it. E.g after you sat by them 2 mins repeating, get up and continue cooking/cleaning and keep repeating.
It may take time depending on the kid but they do learn and eventually they will want the same thing ask, not get and accept. It's a proud moment when it works.

Make sure you are feeding before the hanger sets in otherwise it's way harder and no reasoning.

Is this your first?

Yes it part of their growth and development to go from being cute lil baby to a person with a mind of his her own

That being said they all have their own temperament that evolves as the get older and yes, some kids are just more intense
