We already purchased the bugaboo kangaroo, everyone keeps recommending the doona as a car seat option which is rlly convenient because it has wheels. I can’t decide if it’s worth it or not. I heard of something similar called the evenflo shift dual ride which is basically the same thing as a doona but the car seat can disconnect from the wheels making it lighter and easier to carry. Anyone have either that can help me decide?

I have the Doona. I almost didn’t get it
U have to decide based on ur lifestyle… I don’t have a driveway so I have to walk to my car, sometimes a couple of blocks away. There’s no way I’d manage lugging a heavy car seat that far
That said, it also happens to be really convenient for quick errands

It’s gonna depend on your lifestyle. I use a snap and go and almost never bother with the wheels, so a doona would be useless- I walk across the grass to my car in my driveway, drop kids at the door of school and daycare without removing baby, don’t errand with baby until they’re big enough to sit in the shopping cart. Basically I use my snap n go (and therefore would use doona wheels) to take baby to the dr.

I have the Evenflo shift and loving it!!
Got it on a big sale on Amazon for $350. It's usually same price as Doona though.
Benefits over Doona:
I've heard / read it's got higher safety standards and approved in countries the Doona is not.
Apparently more comfortable and healthier position for babies, it's less upright, and more rounded.
The handle can be pulled higher.
It easily detaches from wheels if needed.
You can use it with or without a base.
Detachable bottom bag for storage.
Safety wifi connection that tells u if baby is too hot / left in car ch"v (this works if you have a not too old smartphone. Did not work with mine.)
