Typically my babies are in the 7 pound range. I want to be prepared but not sure if I should go straight to 1 or get newborns, and also how much of each will I need.

My 6 pounders are usually in nb for 2-3 weeks. For 7 lb maybe straight to 1. Def not more than one case.

About 3 months. You can just go by the weight listed on the pack.

My toddler went through one pack of each. Newborn, size 1, 2, 3, 4. We used two packs of 4 before we stayed at 4+ for a bit.
This baby is smaller I think I'll get a second pack of newborn size.
When you are most of the way through, check if you need to go up a size. Both the fit as well as how quickly your baby fills it.

I would not recommend stocking up. It’s so hard to know before baby’s born, and even afterwards they suddenly grow to the next size and you’re left with lots of diapers. At this stage I don’t buy too many.

Which country?
I'm pretty sure the stress in America vs Israel for example actually run differently.
In America, NB lasts until about 10 lbs max, size 1 starts at 8 lbs
For my 7 lbers, I used newborn for a few weeks. I can't tell you how many packages to buy since they come in many sizes!
For my baby who was close to 8.5 lbs at birth (he did drop before regaining which is normal) I used a small package of newborn diapers (about 30-something in the package) for around a week and then went to 1s since he was the size to fit into them. I got a large case since it technically works until 14 lbs and when we near the end of it, I'll see how big he is then.

I've had 3 different mohalim for my sons and never heard that. I was told to double diaper by one, but not to stop using size NB.

Do you live in an area where it’s hard to get diapers? Why would you stock up with more than 1 case for NB and size 1?

Not stocking up. Just want to have enough in the house to start and not sure how many newborns to buy. I forgot how quickly they outgrow it and how many diapers you use daily. Like if I buy a box of 74 newborns is that too much or perfect?

You should be good. They divided in packs when I’m up to the last one I order another case
