My kids like pasta and cottage cheese. Or cream cheese on a mini bagel. One kid likes little chumus cups with pretzels and baby carrots. Older kids can bring hot water and instant oatmeal.

My kids will eat the above
They like matza with melted cheese in the toaster oven
Or pita pizza or pizza bread
Or they can have leftovers
A big pot of soup is always on my stovetop

For school, I try to send one main and 2 colorful sides. Today is mini pizzas (homemade), sliced peppers with grapes and blueberries. My teenage daughter got sliced low fat cheeses with garlic crackers, same sides. I do hot dogs in buns (made hot in the morning), burgers in buns, leftover meals like sesame chicken on fresh white rice (using a preset rice cooker so it's super easy)... the goal is to feed full meals that are hot and fresh. Apparently my kids are some of the only ones who have lunches like this from home. I can send a sandwich but it won't get eaten. If it's tuna, it's tuna with crackers and veggies, with humus.

My kids were always big peanut butter eaters but couldn’t take that to school so they often took cream cheese sandwiches on bread or bagels. There used to be a company that sold higher protein cream cheese but unfortunately they stopped.
