How I can I help my 2.5 learn to emotionally regulate himself?
I see he's more high strung than the average kid. Recently his morah has to hold him every day by pick up bec he's crying for me to come since another mother came first and he freaked out that I'm not coming.
This is just one example but lots of tears all day. I'm sure to some degree it's just normal for his age but he does it with more frequency and intensity.

I know what it's like to have a child that is more sensitive/intense/high-strung, etc....
Firstly keep in mind he's 2.5. It's early for him to really learn to regulate himself yet. At this age he needs you to fill him up with loads of love and security.
It might be helpful to read "The Explosive Child" by Ross Greene - gives alot of information about sensitive children. Even though it might be alot more extreme than your child is - it can be helpful to understand him.
He's really young. I found that the working-on-regulation age was more like at age 4 or so.

Thanks! I'll try to read the book.

Follow and connect with the Guttmann sisters. They are exceptional OTs that address this. They are on Instagram @handsonapproaches and have a blog. https://handsonotrehab.com/blog/ Lots of resources and practical tips. They also have a podcast called quiet the noise.
My child is like yours. Smart but intense and emotional. They help me so much. I am part of their paid membership but they have a lot of resources for free with amazing tips. Good luck.

Thank you!
Yes KAH he's very smart and says hysterical things. Very imaginative.
But at the same time he's melting down constantly. Even a tiny change in routine makes him fall apart.
